Si parla già dell'ottava stagione,nessuna notizia sul corso degli eventi ma giusto qualche curiosità...

Director William Friedkin will be swinging by CSI: Crime Scene Investigation next season.

Friedkin has a resume that spans nearly five decades. His credits include The Exorcist, which came out in 1973; the 1997 remake of Twelve Angry Men and The Hunted, which starred Tommy Lee Jones and Benicio Del Toro. Friedkin's latest movie is Bug, a thriller starring Ashley Judd.

In 1985, Friedkin directed the movie To Live and Die in L.A.. One of the stars of the movie was William Petersen (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation's Gil Grissom).More than 20 years later, Friedkin and Petersen are teaming up again, this time on Petersen's home turf.

Friedkin will be directing an episode of CSI in season eight. This will put him in the company of other well-known directors that have worked in the franchise. Emilio Estevez directed two episodes of CSI: New York during season one ("The Closer" and "The Dove Commission"). Another familiar name is Quentin Tarantino, the man who helmed the season five finale of CSI, "Grave Danger."

Jorja Fox

La prima notizia per cui Jorja lascerebbe CSI è venuta dalla rubrica di Ausiello. Da questa notizia, da cui tutte le riviste del settore hanno preso spunto, anche se oltre a TV Guide ne ha parlato anche il New York Post, si dice che il season finale, Living Doll, sarebbe dovuto finire con la morte di Sara, e che Jorja non si sarebbe presentata per girarla.

La CBS non ha commentato. Il rappresentante di Jorja ha detto che lei si e' presentata e ha confermato che c'è una trattativa per ritoccare il contratto, e che Jorja è ancora sottocontratto, nonostante ne stiano parlando.

Gli spoiler di vari siti vanno contro a questa tesi e tutti dicono che la fine che abbiamo visto, con Sara intrappolata sotto una macchina, era come in effetti la scena era stato originariamente scritta, lo scorso Marzo.

June 5, 2007: la CBS (http://www.cbs.com/primetime/fall_preview_2007/) ha ufficializzato il cast per la prima puntata della prossima stagione e Jorja è nella lista del cast.

'Deputy District Attorney Madeline'
40s-Early 50s, any ethnicity, very intelligent, abrasive but likeable, a zealot on a mission, an old pro at the business of prosecuting criminals, she is razor-sharp and tough as nails. Hell-bent on making a murder charge stick against gangleader Jose Alvarado, Klein is boiling mad when her star witness is killed by both arson and gunfire. Determined to have the murder of Don Cook investigated by the best and the brightest, she hauls Grissom out of his sickbed and puts him to work. But Grissom's investigation reveals the unhappy facts that Cook was murdered by his father-in-law, and that Alvarado's henchmen don't really have a leak in the Grand Jury; they just follow Madeline Klein closely and make expert deductions based on her movements. 'Richard O' Malley'
50s-Mid 60s, working class and worn, tough and quiet, with an underlying deadness, the father of Cody Cook and the father-in-law of murder victim Don Cook, Richard is a retiree who's having a hard time making ends meet. A guy whose hobby is building birdhouses, with a certain skill when it comes to using art supplies, Richard was bitterly angry with his son-in-law Don for having refused to help him out financially, and planned to murder both Don and Cody for the insurance money, hoping the blame would be attached to ganglord Jose Alvarado. Guest Star;

'Don Cook'
30s-Early 40s, working class, an average guy. Don is the murder victim. A guy who runs a vending machine business with his wife, Don spies a gangbanger in the act of fleeing the murder of a rival, and agrees to testify in front of a grand jury - but before he can tell his story under oath, he's brutally murdered, burned when his car catches fire and shot to death as well. Apparently a solid citizen who is murdered by professional criminals, Don is also a shitheel of a son-in-law, who was killed by his wife's cunning, desperate father. Guest Star;

'Cody Cook'
Mid 20s-Early 30s, Female, blue collar, flashy, with a great body, a little too "done," smart, and a little rough around the edges, the widow of murder victim Don Cook, Cody is a heavy smoker who has a nicotine craving while being questioned by the detectives about her husband's death. A blabbermouth who foolishly bragged about her husband's involvement in the Grand Jury investigation, Cody helped cause her husband's death, but only indirectly. After the police learn she had a vituperative relationship with her man, Cody briefly is suspected of having killed him, and is badly rattled by the questions tossed at her. But in fact, Cody isn't the murderer - in fact, she barely escaped being the murderer's second victim. Guest Star;

Rosie Murray
20s, any ethnicity, a young female juror. She's been serving on the Grand Jury for six months and all along, she's been blackmailed into giving reports on the investigation by members of Alvarado's gang. Guest Star;

'Special Guard Ron Pen'
30-40, African-American, a Special Guard at the Clark County jail. Pen is in charge of the prisoners in Isolation, and keeps a close eye on Jose Alvarado. But Pen is outwitted by Alvarado's sly method of passing along messages to his henchmen. Guest Star;

Tim O'Shea
30s, any ethnicity, an everyman, this worried male juror is another member of the Grand Jury convened by Madeline Klein. Guest Star;

'Jose Alvarado (El Matocho)'
Early-Mid 30s, Hispanic, a charismatic gangbanger. He is the leader of the L.A. Tijeras, but his tattoos are all that betray any gangbanger vibe. In prison for 30 days on a parole violation, Alvarado will spend the rest of his life behind bars - if Madeline Klein can get a Grand Jury to indict him for the murder of a rival. The prime suspect in the murder of Don Cook, Jose is a "model prisoner," who chews up his 30 days in the joint by reading book after book. He is busted by Grissom, not for the murder of Don Cook - but for giving criminal instructions to his cohorts by writing in the prison library books with his own urine. Possible Guest Star;

'Donny Gomez'
18-Early 20s, Hispanic, a "scary, hot-headed, mutha***" gangbanger who's suspected of being involved in the attempted bombing of Grissom and Warrick, Gomez is a grinning firebug who apparently doesn't care if the cops bust him on four counts of attempted murder. Possible Guest Star;

'3rd Juror'
Mid 20s-Mid 50s, Male or Female, any ethnicity, an average person. He/She is another member of the Grand Jury convened by Madeline Klein. Co-Star;

'Discharge Guard'
40s-50s, any ethnicity. This Discharge Guard at the Clark County Jail is ready to process Jose Alvarado out of the system. Co-Star.

Ausiello: Well, Gary Sinise isn't the only CSI star with a new lady friend in his future. I hear that CSI: Original Flavor is looking for a female DA who will help Grissom get over a serious illness so he can help her make an important indictment stick. And no, that's not a double entendre. At least I don't think it is.

In his late 20s to 30s,slightly off with an underlying creepiness, Emily's fiancé, he is implicated in a child's murder when his prints are discovered at the crime scene. He's been living under an alias to hide the fact that he's a convicted sex offender. The charges that were brought against him did not accurately reflect his crime but nonetheless cost him his job as a teacher. His life (unfairly) ruined, his career over and his fiancée gone, Leo becomes enraged and possibly suicidal, and directs his simmering anger toward Catherine...GUEST STAR (23)

A small 4-5 year old to play 3-4, she is an angelic girl, discovered outside a comedy club, her dead body lovingly placed in a box with a St. Jude medallion around her neck. [VERNON WALDRIP]
Late 20s - 40s, this ex-con who is creepy and worn, leaves prison intent on romancing and stealing his cellmate's wife Grace. His ploy works and he becomes the number one suspect in his stepchild Inez's murder. The cops catch up with Vernon and his family (including two kids from a previous Relationship) so he desperately takes hostages inside a diner. When Grace dies in the ensuing shoot-out, Vernon becomes quietly devastated and defeated, willing to sign any confession Catherine supplies for him regarding Inez's death, but despite the evidence pointing in his direction, he is not the guilty party that everyone assumes...GUEST STAR (40)

Un personaggio di CSI Las Vegas ci lascierà, si tratta di Warrick Brown. Il contratto dell'attore scadrà il prossimo mese e dovrebbe lasciare il suo ruolo nell’ottava stagione, in onda in USA il 15 Maggio. La produzione ha già deciso il sostituto ed è l’agente Ray Santoro che si trasferirà dalla polizia di Henderson al laboratorio di Las Vegas.

Katee Sackhoff (“Battlestar Galactica”) potrebbe partecipare alla prossima stagione di “CSI”; secondo TV Guide a volerla nella serie sono i produttori esecutivi Carol Mendelsohn e Naren Shankar, fan dell’attrice. Di parere opposto invece CBS e la Jerry Bruckheimer Television. Chi l’avrà vinta?

Lauren Lee Smith - Press Release
LOS ANGELES, May 16 - Lauren Lee Smith joins the cast of CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION next season as a series regular.

She will play CSI Bryce Adams, a smart, flirtatious, and witty non-conformist who entered law enforcement to rebel against her judgmental psychiatrist father. She has always been fascinated by the perverse underbelly of society and cannot be shocked or intimidated. She will be hired onto Grissom's night shift team.

Lauren Lee Smith was first discovered out of Vancouver, Canada when she was cast into Showtime's "The L-Word." Lauren then went on co-star in "Art School Confidential" opposite Max Minghella, and received critical praise and attention from her performance in the independent film "Lie with Me." Lauren also co-starred opposite Casey Affleck and Zach Braff in "The Last Kiss," and "Pathology" opposite Michael Weston and Milo Ventimiglia. She will also soon be seen in the horror film "Trick 'r Treat," as well as a lead role opposite Ashley Judd in the film "Helen."

Canadian actress Lauren Lee Smith is joining CSI: Las Vegas next Season, filling the void left by the departure of Jorja Fox.

Details about her character are sketchy, but she will play a new sleuth joining the graveyard shift of the Las Vegas crimebusters.

The 27 year old Vancouver native previously played a chef during three seasons of the Showtime's lesbian drama "The L Word".
