Season 2 General Spoilers

- Il nuovo personaggio,che comparirà in ben 11 episodi, sarà il Tenente Frank Lundy(interpretato da Keith Carradine), un agente speciale dell'FBI chiamato ad indagare sul ritrovamento di numerosi cadaveri nella zona di Miami.

- Secondo un'affermazione di Daniel Cerone (co-produttore), C.S. Lee (Masuka) sarà un personaggio regolare nella seconda stagione ,non più una semplice guest star.

- Una donna entrerà nella vita di Dexter,Lila (interpretata da Jaime Murray),un'artista che diviene molto amica di Dexter.Lei è selvaggia,anticonvenzionale e temeraria. Jaime Murray parteciperà a 10 dei 12 episodi in programma per la nuova stagione.

- Nella seconda stagione vedremo anche la mamma di Rita (interpretata da JoBeth Williams) che ci sarà per quattro episodi.

Episode 2.06 - Dex, Lies and Videotape

Dexter discovers he has some competition, a copycat killer who claims to be inspired by the Bay Harbor Butcher's dirty work; Dexter becomes romantically drawn to Lila.

Episode 2.07 - That Night, a Forest Grew

In an attempt to shake the task force off his trail, Dexter sends a manifesto to the newspaper detailing previously unreleased information and he also sets up Doakes in an effort to get him off his case. Also, Deb's relationship with Special Agent Lundy (Keith Carradine) takes a surprising turn; and Rita confronts her intrusive mother (JoBeth Williams).

Episode 8 - Morning Comes

Police Officer: There has been a break-in at Rita's apartment. The police officer tells her that there was no sign of forced entry and that she must have simply left the door unlocked. Dexter insists that the police officer stays until HE has checked the apartment and that a unit should patrol the neighborhood. When the police officer scoffs at Dexter's orders, he shows the officer his credentials and he relents. Dexter begins to check the apartment.

Dexter arrives at Lila's and confronts her about the break-in at Rita's. Lila admits that she's the one who went in and hands Dexter Rita's keys. Lila tells Dexter that its HIS fault that she did this, since he lied about working late and she was suspicious that he was with Rita. Dexter gives her a stern warning, to which Lila replies "Is this the monster that you've warned me about?"

Lenny Acosta: Lenny is an unkempt man of about 60 who lives in an apartment. When Debra and Batista enter the apartment they notice boxes and boxes filled with papers all over the table and the furniture. They inform Acosta that an Antony Rodigo was killed. Acosta already knew that he was found dead in the ocean and he makes it clear he did not like Rodigo, as he was a drug pusher and "scum". While Debra and Batista are in the apartment they notice that Acosta likes to make notes of strange goings-on outside (this is funny, he starts jotting down the license plate number of an illegally parked car, and the detectives tell him that it is in fact THEIRS!) and asks him if he has any notes for the last time Rodigo was seen alive. He tells them that he will check.

Headhunter: The headhunter in and of himself really doesn't do much. He and Laguista get stood up by Doakes for a meeting - but Doakes has a good reason. In this scene, we see Doakes breaking in to Dexter's apartment and in an grating finding the slides with the blood samples. He knows he is on to something and takes one. Also while this scene is going on, Dexter uses a hypodermic to subdue Jimenez. Later, we see Jimenez in a room which Dexter has prepared according to his usual pattern.

Episode 9 - Resistance Is Futile

Episode 9 of Dexter will be called "Resistance Is Futile". It will feature Leones (A 40 Year old Haitian with a prominent accent and scars or his arms and legs) and Detective Weiss (30's, male, Jewish, tough but off-beat looking)

Episode 2.08 - Morning Comes

Special Agent Lundy (Keith Carradine) decides to take the investigation “where the chase leads [them],” pointing in the direction of the police force; a nosy neighbor (Bruce Weitz) supplies Deb and Batista with a lead in the case; Dexter is attacked by an assailant he recognizes as the “rededicated serial killer” who murdered his mother.

The next episode is out-freaking-rageous. Honestly. All you Lila-haters are gonna positively swoon when you see the scene where Dexter, um, puts his foot down. It seems that Lila's gone a bit too far, and well, she's not going to like Dexter when he's angry. Still, we haven't seen the last of Lila, not by a long shot, but we do see that she's given fair warning about further frakking with Dexter and his familiars. It's. So. Good. Oh, and by the way, did I mention Deb calls Lila a "pale titty vampire?" And that I love Deb? Also, Doakes finds something that makes me think he can't be long for this world...Yeah, it's that big.
