There's been a bunch of spoilers going on around many sites about the Second Season of Ugly Betty. Here I am to show you them all!
1. Betty getting a new love interest!
"According to one of our site's visitors, the show is currently casting for a new love interest for Betty. He will be a blue-collar snack cart operator, and will join as a recurring character a few episodes into the second season. I was not able to confirm this spoiler so treat it as a rumor for now." She will star as herself in a cameo role for two episodes and will be paid £70,000 ($96,280 US) for her appearances.

I am going to write something that is going to make me very unpopular with many "Ugly Betty" fans. Christopher Gorham's Henry's and Betty's romance may be over and I am not that unhappy about that. Oh, Justin - that was just inappropriate!
TV Guide reported earlier this week that the producers of "Ugly Betty" are looking for a new love interest for Betty who is described as Gio, an ambitious, aggressive and lovable man who runs the sandwich cart at "Mode."
Since Gio is expected to be sticking around for an entire second season of the Golden Globe-winning comedy, we are either looking at Henry being completely out of the picture (I seriously doubt that) or we are getting a season-long love triangle that may result in the glorious reunion of Betty and Henry come May.
In any event, don't expect me to shed any tears if Henry happens to leave Mode fashionistas behind for good (he was on the plane out of New York with former girlfriend Charlie once he realized she was pregnant and it might be his child, although Betty - of course - learned it wasn't).
Yes, Christopher Gorham's (pictured above at the Ugly Betty April wrap party with wife Anel Lopez and co-star Michael Urie) Henry is super-cute in a dorky kind of way and he seems to be a perfect match for Betty.
And although I was happy to see the producers ditch the annoying Walter, "seems" just doesn't cut it for me. I feel as if the writers are forcing us to love Betty and Henry because they are "perfect for each other."
I have to say I have always found their on-and-off relationship a bit of a snoozefest (uh-oh - I guess you're all ready to post some hate comments now) and I am really happy to see that Betty may be getting someone who is a lovable character but one with a little more spunk. But hey - that's just me.
"Six Feet Under" star Freddy Rodriguez is expected to join the cast of ABC's "Ugly Betty" in the role of the recently announced character Gio, as part of a new love triangle on the Golden Globe-winning comedy.
As you may have read, Gio will be an ambitious, but lovable man who runs a snack cart at Mode Magazine. He and the show's main heroine Betty are expected to develop feelings for each other. But what does that mean for Betty's relationship with Henry?
Gio is expected to be on the show for the entire second season. During this time Henry may finally resolve his issues with girlfriend Charlie who, as we have learned, has lied that he is the father of her unborn child.

Per quanto riguarda Marc pare che troverà finalmente un fidanzato, inoltre sua madre apparirà di nuovo in questa stagione.
Sarà proprio Freddy Rodriguez, secondo le prime voci, ad interpretare Giovanni, un ambizioso, aggressivo e adorabile ragazzo, che sarà il nuovo interesse di tutte.

L'ex Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, ha ottenuto una parte nel telefilm Ugly Betty. Nella prossima 2^ stagione Victoria arriverà alla redazione di Mode nei panni di se stessa.
Al "Mode" dovrebbe arrivare anche una nuova ragazza, elegante, carina e molto informata riguardo alla moda.
Potrebbe finire prima che inizi per Betty e Henry. I produttori stanno cercando qualche nuovo interesse amoroso per Betty. Forse sarà più fortunata nel campo romantico. Infatti al "Mode" dovrebbe arrivare Giovanni, un ambizioso, aggressivo e adorabile ragazzo, che sarà il nuovo interesse di tutte.

Esordio sul set per Victoria Beckham che apparirà in un episodio della serie tv Ugly Betty. La notizia dell'ingaggio della Posh Spice è stata data dalla stessa Abc che produce e mette in onda lo show. Nella puntata, che sarà filmata in autunno, la moglie di David Beckham interpreterà la damigella d'onore al matrimonio di un personaggio famoso. Victoria aveva proclamato di non avere interesse per la recitazione, ma poi ci ha ripensato.
Maggiori dettagli non sono stati resi noti. Victoria, da poco riunita con il resto delle Spice Girl, ha più volte proclamato di non avere interesse per la recitazione e di essere totalmente focalizzata sulla sua linea di moda dVb Style , ma il suo prossimo ciak ha smentito la dichiarazione. Sembra dunque che la cantante ora punti dritto a un solo obiettivo: la fiction. Per la verità il piccolo schermo non è del tutto nuovo alla pop star.
Un reality show aveva infatti raccontato il trasloco, avvenuto lo scorso luglio, dei coniugi Beckham a Los Angeles dopo l'ingaggio di David nei Galaxy ma il programma non aveva avuto un grande successo.

Il personaggio è interpretato dall'attrice Marlo Thomas molto conosciuta per essere stata la stella e anche produttrice di una serie televisiva famosa negli anni 60..."That Girl".
Si annuncia una seconda stagione fantastica... ci sono guest stars e personaggi davvero eccezionali!

Dopo la Posh Spice Victoria Beckam, l'ex 'Dawson' James Van Der Beek, l'ex Alias' Victor Gaber, Mo’Nique e Marlo Thomas si apprestano ad apparire nella seconda stagione della serie anche Eliza Dushku e Betty White, ma c'è chi ipotizza addirittura l'arrivo dei mitici Kirstie Alley e John Travolta!
Eliza, famosa come Faith del Buffyverse ma anche protagonista di "Tru Calling", pare parteciperà come guest star impersonando una ragazza copertina che durante un suo periodo in riabilitazione (da alcol, droga?) viene bersagliata dai fotografi. Più facile il ruolo della divina Betty White, recentemente aggiuntasi al cast della soap opera "Beautiful" nel ruolo della madre di Stephanie Forrester; la golden girl, come spesso viene soprannominata, impersonerà sè stessa nell'episodio Bananas for Betty in onda, ovviamente negli States, a dicembre.

Blue will play Cliff, a young photographer who gets a job at Mode Magazine and becomes a romantic interest for Wilhelmina Slater's (Vanessa Williams) conniving assistant Marc St. James (Michael Urie). Both Urie and Blue have a degree in acting.

It appears we're getting Santa Justin and the Christmas episode of "Ugly Betty" on Thanksgiving when ABC scheduled "Giving up the Ghost." In any event, holiday-themed episodes of this quirky comedy have truly been appointment television, so I have no doubts this year will be the same.
According to an official synopsis, A Wilhelmina-induced crisis at Mode finds everyone scrambling to re-create an issue on deadline.
Desperate times call for desperate measures, as Daniel and Betty try to break wild child cover girl (Eliza Dushku as Cameron Ashlock) out of rehab for a re-shoot, and Alexis tries to charm the printer (guest star David J. Steinberg) into extending their time.
Meanwhile, Betty struggles with an unwelcome (and persistent) visitor who hopes to goad her into making good on a promise.

Wilhelmina (Vanessa Williams) makes an attempt to change her image as the queen of mean, but fails miserably after she tangles with America's most beloved golden girl.
Henry reluctantly agrees to go on a double date with Betty and an unlikely couple Hilda and Gio. Betty White will spoil Wilhelmina's plans to shed off her image of a meanie.
In una intervista al Toronto Sun, Alan Dale, che impersona il patriarca Bradford Meade, ha rivelato che ad andarsene… sarà lui!
“Ugly Betty è cambiato perchè inizialmente era un drama con umorismo ora invece è diventato interamente una commedia, così non voglio continuare a parteciparvi per molto altro tempo perché d’altronde il mio personaggio non fa comicità”; “Hanno preso una strada diversa, così me ne andrò; lo show è comunque fantastico e vedrete che presto lo imiteranno!”
Nell’intervista l’attore critica anche qualche scelta effettuata nella seconda stagione e svela poi i suoi progetti futuri.
Dale non è nuovo agli adii; ricordiamo che prima di “Ugly Betty” aveva partecipato alla serie “The O.C.” in cui usciva di scena alla fine della seconda stagione.
Dopo le voci ufficiose susseguitesi negli ultimi giorni, la ABC ha finalmente rivelato il volto dell'attrice che interpreterà Dominique, la sorella di Wilhelmina, nella seconda stagione di Ugly Betty. Si tratta di Gabrielle Union, già vista nella serie tv West Wing e nel secondo capitolo cinematografico di Bad Boys. Gabrielle, che in un primo momento aveva smentito ogni indiscrezione probabilmente perché la sua partecipazione era messa in dubbio dallo sciopero degli sceneggiatori, parteciperà ad un episodio, con la possibilità di diventare un volto ricorrente se l'agitazione della WGA dovesse rientrare in tempi brevi. Nel frattempo, sappiamo già che il suo arrivo si abbatterà sulla redazione di Mode come un tornado. Dominique, infatti, viene descritta come una donna sfrenata, dedita alla vita mondana e con non pochi scheletri nell'armadio.

Report: Ugly Betty WILL Resume Production!
With a tentative agreement between striking writers and Hollywood moguls expected to be announced sometime this week, my moles at Grey’s tell me that production on the show is expected to resume in early March. The plan is to shoot four or five episodes to air in April/May. A similar scenario is expected to play out at three other ABC hits, Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty and Brothers & Sisters.

Question: Any scoop on Ugly Betty? — Beth
Ausiello: OK, good-news/bad-news time. The good news: We're looking at anywhere from four to seven additional episodes this season and the show just got renewed for a third season. The bad news: Despite the fact that Betty is firing on all cylinders creatively this season, someone saw fit to fix what wasn't broken and fire exec producers Marco Pennette and James Hayman, the latter of whom was responsible for directing some of my favorite Betty episodes.

According to the announcement, Ugly Betty will return on April 24 in its original timeslot, with five new episodes to air.
As Ugly Betty showrunner Silvio Horta gets his, er, show running in the wake of the recently concluded writers strike, some previously reported developments for this season have been postponed, a result of having to cut the number of episodes left through May to just five. "We're not doing a musical episode," Horta tells EW.com. "We want to do one, and I think it's a natural thing for the show, but not right now. Hopefully, next year." And although reports that Lindsay Lohan was in talks last November to guest star on the series were accurate, Horta says "it won't likely be this season.... We love Lindsay and hope to work with her in the future, though when or in what capacity remains to be seen."

Executive producer Silvio Horta worked from home — and brought his entire writing team with him
I felt that before we returned to the office, it might be nice to work out of my place. You know, just in my living room. If I have a separate meeting scheduled while everyone is at my house, I'll go to the kitchen or my bedroom. Wherever there's space. I kinda would love to stay here, but I think the other writers might want their own offices. It has just been wonderful. We work so hard, so furiously, that a lot of the writers didn't start to really get to know each other until they were on the picket lines.
I did a little bit of traveling during the strike, going outside the bubble of L.A. to Brazil, London, and Paris. The reaction wasn't just ''Oh, I really like that show.'' People were really moved and touched and inspired. And that inspired me. I came back with a renewed sense of responsibility. As much as I love the show, I really wanted to recapture the heart that was not as present as I think it was in the first season. We were so ambitious in our storytelling that I think we lost sight of Betty and her point of view. Hopefully, we'll have the first script within a couple weeks.
We're not going to lose anything by doing only five episodes instead of nine. Honestly, and maybe because these are circumstances of the reality I have to live with, 18 episodes feel much more organic to where we were going this season. There are some ideas that we wanted to do, but it doesn't feel like we're hurting anything or taking anything away. We're not doing a musical episode. That will not happen this season. Hopefully, next year. [As for Lindsay Lohan guest-starring], we love Lindsay and hope to work with her in the future, though when or in what capacity remains to be seen. Because the season is truncated and we're busy wrapping up stories, it won't likely be this season.

Access Hollywood recently visited the set of "Ugly Betty" and spoke to America Ferrera about campaigning for Senator Hilary Clinton and returning to work after the strike. Wilhemina is trying to hide the fact that she’s got Christina at her house –and Christina is, thanks to the miracle of science, carrying the dead Bradford Meade’s offspring.
Wilhemina’s sister, Renee (Gabrielle Union) is dating Daniel Meade, which threatens Wilhemina’s plans to grab control of the Meade empire. And in a drunken moment, her assistant Marc nearly ruins everything by spilling the beans to Renee about the baby Christina’s carrying.

Ausiello: Poor Meg. Sounds to me like someone's dying... literally... [Snicker, guffaw] for some Betty prattle. So rather than delivering her last rites, let me give her some before it's too late. A show rep confirms that Jayma Mays is signed, sealed and delivered — "delivered" perhaps being the operative word, given her character's pregnancy — for two more episodes as Henry's ex, Charlie. Meanwhile, a little bird also confirms for me that what the mom-to-be will be bringing her former beau and Betty won't be so much a bundle of joy as a bundle of trouble. Speaking of trouble, Freddy Rodriguez is back for four more episodes as Betty's not-so-insta-crush, Gio.

Ashley Jensen has admitted she fears her character could get written out of Ugly Betty.
The actress plays fashion designer Christina McKinney on the hit US show, but is afraid her character will be killed off in a lift accident.
"I still think I am going to get found out and they will send me home," Jensen is quoted as saying in the Daily Express.
"I've heard there's a favourite soap exit - your character opens an elevator door then disappears down the shaft - so I scan the scripts anxiously for any elevator scenes. Beware the shaft!"

2.15 "Burning Questions"
Why is Wilhelmina's sister so blue in the upcoming "Burning Questions" episode of the show? I don't know that, but I do know "Ugly Betty" is finally coming back in 9 days and I can't wait for the Mode gang to "bring it" all over again.
Here's what ABC was willing to disclose about the episode: An increasingly delusional Renee (guest star Gabrielle Union) becomes convinced that Betty is in love with Daniel and therefore is her rival for his affections.
Meanwhile, Hilda's new client at the beauty shop turns out to be ex-neighbor and lifetime nemesis Gina Gambarro (guest star Ava Gaudet), who returns to Queens to rub her fabulous life and wealthy doctor husband in Hilda's face.
(That would be the vixen from the pilot episode who fooled around with Betty's Walter - she was actually doing poor Betty a favor, wasn't she? - before Betty slammed the door on her house and broke her plasma).

Secondo quanto dichiarato proprio da Gorham, nel resto della seconda stagione a Betty capiteranno un sacco di cose “intriganti. Betty dovrà prendere delle decisioni grosse e difficili, andrà incontro a dei grossi cambiamenti”. Si tratterà di matrimonio? Gorham ha risposto “potrebbe essere, potrebbe non essere. Potrebbe andare in Italia (!) con qualcuno, potrebbe non andare in Italia…”. Ma cosa accadrà ad Henry se Betty se ne andasse in italia con qualcun’altro? L’attore ha risposto ridendo “nervosamente” che “per lui non sarà certamente una buona cosa”. Anche la protagonista della serie, America Ferrera, ha confermato che i prossimi giorni di Betty saranno “duri. Ci saranno un sacco di cambiamenti nei prossimi quattro/cinque episodi, e si chiuderà un capitolo della vita di Betty, soprattutto in campo amoroso”. Capitolo guest star: dopo Naomi Campbell, che apparirà nell’ultima puntata nel ruolo di sé stessa accanto all’editore di Elle (magazine femminile molto noto, ndr) Robbie Myers e il direttore creativo Joe Zee, anche Nina Garcia, fashion director di Elle e giurato di Project Runaway, apparirà nell’episodio della prossima settimana, assieme a Christian Siriano (vincitore di un’edizione, la quarta, di Project Runaway, ndr). Ma soprattutto, vedremo Lindsay Lohan: Ausiello di TV Guide conferma infatti che l’attrice è in “avanzate trattative” per apparire nel finale della seconda stagione, in onda il 22 maggio, ma soprattutto per tornare anche nella terza stagione (si parla di otto episodi, ndr). Forte della positiva esperienza di Britney Spears in How I Met Your Mother, la ABC spera infatti che anche la Lohan faccia “miracoli” per gli ascolti di Betty (che sono comunque migliori di quelli della serie della CBS).

Ugly Betty vuole un'altra star. TV Guide fa sapere che la produzione della serie di successo in onda su ABC ha riaperto le trattative con Lindsay Lohan, controverso personaggio della Hollywood giovane. Per lei un ruolo che potrebbe protrarsi oltre la comparsata prevista nella season finale della seconda stagione, in onda il 22 maggio. A indurre i vertici della ABC a questo corteggiamento, sempre secondo TV Guide, gli ottimi ascolti registrati su CBS dall'episodio di How I Met Your Mother in cui è apparsa Britney Spears, alla ribalta in questi ultimi mesi tanto quanto la Lohan. Allo stato attuale, specifiche sul personaggio destinato all'attrice non sono state ancora precisate. Inizialmente si era pensato a una sfortunata impiegata di un fast food, la quale si fa aiutare da Betty diventando presto sua amica. Tuttavia, i piani potrebbero cambiare, anche in relazione al recente periodo di riabilitazione affrontata da Lindsay.
