La nuova stagione di Desperate Housewives andrà in onda dal 30settembre 2007 alle 21 sulla emittente televisiva americana ABC.

Ecco alcune anticipazioni:
Dopo settimane di gossip e di notizie assolutamente false (la più clamorosa dava Beckham e Williams nel cast di Desperate Housewives), sono stati finalmente resi noti i nomi dei due attori che nella quarta stagione interpreteranno la nuova coppia gay di Wisteria Lane: si tratta di Tuc Watkins (attore della soap "One Life To Live") e Kevin Rahm (già in "Giudice Amy).Secondo TV Guide, Watkins interpreterà il ruolo di Bob che stufo della vita di città decide di trasferirsi a Wisteria Lane per trovare la quiete (decisamente il posto giusto), mentre Rahm sarà il fidanzato Lee, dal carattere abbastanza isterico e attaccabrighe (il sito riporta bitchy).

Dana Delany ha rivelato ai microfoni di Extra qualche succosa anticipazione sul suo personaggio Katherine Mayfair, che sarà al centro della quarta stagione di "Desperate Housewives". La Delany (già vincitrice di vari Emmy) era già stata contattata da Marc Cherry quattro anni fa per interpretare il ruolo di Bree Van De Kamp, ma l'attrice aveva rifiutato, quest'anno quando Cherry l'ha richiamata, Dana non si è fatta scappare l'occasione e ha accettato al volo. Il suo personaggio, Katherine Mayfair, torna a Wisteria Lane dove aveva già vissuto 12 anni prima, ai tempi in cui Mary Alice e Susan abitavano nella strada e subito tra lei e Bree si crea una competizione, perché entrambe vogliono il titolo di migliore casalinga. Katherine scappò da Wisteria Lane diversi anni prima per un motivo ben preciso e quando ritorna dopo 12 anni, si porta dietro un nuovo e giovane marito ginecologo, e una figlia di 17 anni di nome Dylan, che sembra molto diversa dalla figlia con cui lei lasciò la città anni prima...

Qualche giorno fa, durante le riprese esterne di "Desperate Housewives", ha fatto la sua comparsa sul set un attore a noi molto conosciuto, Jesse Metcalfe che ha interpretato nella prima stagione (con apparizioni nella seconda e terza) il giardiniere John Rowland. Ci sono foto che provano che Jesse era sul set insieme a Eva Longoria e questo farebbe pensare ad un nuovo ritorno di John nel telefilm. Il suo personaggio mi è sempre piaciuto, ma non so ormai quanto possa interessare, dal momento che Gabrielle nella quarta stagione si ritrova già divisa tra il marito Victor Lang e l'amante Carlos, nonchè suo ex marito.Speriamo :123:

11/11 - Adam Mayfair is shocked when a mysterious stalker from his past shows up on Wisteria Lane, Bree and Orson encounter martial problems with a new baby in their lives and Lynette reunites with her long lost stepfather. Source: ABC
10/22 - Someone (Sylvia?) hits Tom on the head as he closes the restaurant. A doctor tells Lynette that Tom suffered a concussion and hypothermia and that it is possible he suffers from short-term memory loss. A detective drops by Edie's house to ask her questions about Carlos' whereabouts since they found his boat but not him. Edie says that she last saw him two nights ago when she announced that she was breaking up. The detective thinks it could be a set up since there are no prints on the boat but they did find a green cashmere scraf... According to our sources, Julie is the one dating the Tommy-Lee type guy and not Edie. The guy is named Will and, as expected, Susan will not be happy to see her daughter date this type of guy. 10/06 - Out of sympathy, Tom kisses Sylvia. The woman reads way too much into this. When they have dinner at a restaurant, Tom is clearly not comfortable, especially when Sylvia keeps coming on to him and says that there is something between them, etc. Source: TV Squad

Episode 4.09: Something's Coming
Airdate: December 2, 2007
11/03 - Susan drops by at Orson's dentist office to inquire about pills he prescribed for Mike. She orders a mother and her son to stay in the room in order to have an objective option. Orson claims he prescribed the pills because Mike was having problems with a shoulder. Susan is angry because Mike used to be an addict and is afraid he will fall back in that type of life. Mike gets agitated when he brings Susan to the ER after she fell and the orderly says it'll be hours before she can be checked because she's not an urgent case. As the hours pass, Mike gets extremely agitated and angry and even gets in a fight with the orderly. To Mike's extreme displeasure, he gets cuffed to a chair until Susan is ready to go home. Don't you love it when that happens?

Well, I've received so many questions in the past three days about Desperate Housewives' insane tornado episode that aired on Sunday, I've done a little digging to get some scoop for ya.

Not only was it hands down the best DH episode of the season (I think I'm back in), but it left us all screaming at our televisions: Whose house is gone?! Who is dead?! Let me try and answer...

The episode ended with Lynette (Felicity Huffman) and Mrs. McCluskey, who had been hiding in a neighbor's house during the storm, walking outside to see a destroyed house and a wide shot of Wisteria Lane completely in shambles. (Here's hoping these folks have good insurance like Nancy Botwin over on Weeds!)

There was much debate as to whether the leveled house was the Scavos' (meaning Lynette's husband, Tom, and the kiddies might be in jeopardy), or Mrs. McCluskey's, where an elderly neighbor, Ida, was hiding out in the basement.

Bottom line: ABC wants to keep you guessing. Sources tell me Marc Cherry & Co. have already shot the next episode, but they are holding it until after the strike ends to keep fans guessing and make sure they return to the show when it's back on the airwaves.

In the meantime—spoiler alert!—here's what I can tell you after talking to reliable insiders close to Wisteria Line: Three people die in the tornado.

Now, it would seem two of those deaths (Sylvia and Victor) were already shown on the last episode, so that would leave only one more death. Which should mean—phew!—Tom and the kids should be safe and the house we saw was not the Scavos'. (In fact, I'd put good money on the kids and Tom returning!)

But the question remains, who will be the third death? Is it Ida? Someone bigger? Someone smaller (if it's just the cat, I'll scream)...Got guesses? Post 'em below!

Sadly, we have plenty of time to figure this one out...How about an end to that writers' strike now, please?!

Ausiello: Regrettably, the Scavo's demon spawn survive the twister. I don't get Marc Cherry sometimes. He had a golden opportunity to kill four really annoying birds with one big shiny stone and he didn't take it. Maybe he's waiting to unload them in the May sweeps tsunami.

Question: Did Lynette's husband die in the tornado? The promos said "a friend and a husband" would die. Is it Tom? Who is the friend? I'm so confused. When are new episodes coming back? — Amy
Ausiello: Actually, it's episode, not episodes. The conclusion to Sunday's two-parter is the only remaining episode in the can. And my guess is ABC is holding onto it as long as possible.

Lynette's family should be safe


Question: OK, my girlfriend and I are a bit confused by last week's Desperate Housewives episode. At the end where Lynette screams, is it because her house is destroyed or because Mrs. McCluskey's house is completely demolished and all of her family were in there? — Megan V.
Matt Roush: A little bit of everything, I think. That awesome final tableau of Wisteria Lane in ruins was enough to make anyone cry. But the fact that as she and Mrs. McCluskey emerged to survey the damage, all she could see of her family's shelter was rubble no doubt prompted that shriek of anguish (which ABC promoted endlessly before the episode ever aired). I wouldn't fret for Lynette. No matter how aggravating her family can be, the show isn't going to kill them off.

The much anticipated “Desperate Housewives” post-tornado episode finally aired last night. But, who died?

We already know that Gabby’s husband, Victor, died in the last episode, and were quite sure that Sylvia met her demise, but rumors have been flying about who the other death was in the “Desperate Housewives” tornado.

As many had speculated, neighborhood friend Ida didn’t make it out of the tornado – she died helping the Scavo family safely under the basement stairs (where there wasn’t enough room for her).

So, while sad to see Ida go, she hasn’t been much of a fixture on “Desperate Housewives” – not like losing a main character.

Carlos losing his sight from the tornado, that could be interesting – how is Gabby going to handle a blind Carlos?

Writers Strike Update
Executive Producer Marc Cherry Says: At the SAG Awards, Marc told us: "I think maybe I could cram in seven episodes [before the end of the season]. It would take us about two weeks to get back into production. I'm chomping at the bit. The moment the starting pistol is fired, I'm off and running. I'm ready to go, I just need the okay [from the union]."

What We're Hearing: At this point in time, six episodes is more likely than seven, but don't worry, there will be plenty of Wisteria Lane hijinks on your TV come May sweeps.

Post-Strike Spoilers
Prime-time's hottest soap to pull the same trick they used between seasons 2 and 3.

The cast of ABC's "Desperate Housewives" is going back to work on Monday, February 25. In the meantime, Marc Cherry and his team of writers will be burning midnight oil to make sure the first scripts which have already been outlined undergo sufficient tweaking to be ready for production by then.

According to actress Brenda Strong, who gives voice to the deceased housewife Mary-Alice Young, the writers will accelerate the storylines. A significant amount of time will have passed since the January 7 episode, for which reason some of the previously rumored storylines will be dropped.

James Denton's character Mike Delfino, was supposed to have met a woman at the rehab center, who relates to his problems and he creates a bond with. Instead, the writers may focus on Mike's return to Wisteria Lane where he may finally learn Orson was the driver who tried to run him over in season 2 finale.

Originally, Orson was conceived as a villain whom Mike recognized from a prison. He was supposed to seduce Bree and take her money, and a mysterious woman he was meeting at Bree's clinic was going to be his accomplice. But the viewers liked Orson and the producers changed the storyline making his mother a villain instead.

But the change left several continuity omissions and those may finally have to be addressed in the upcoming episodes. Last year, Mike remembered seeing Orson in Monique's kitchen, but he never realized Orson tried to run him over. And would Orson really resort to such drastic measures just to protect his evil mother?

In any event, Strong promises all the juicy developments will be jam packed into the next 7 episodes, to make up for the lost time as well as enable writers to start fresh in season 5.

Can Gaby handle both Carlos' blindness and being poor again? Is Bree really going to work? What secret is Katherine hiding and will her ex-husband finally appear? And will Susan be happy with Mike when she gives birth to their child? Just some of the questions looming over Wisteria Lane when "Desperate Housewives" returns April 13.

Ausiello: The tax man cometh to Wisteria Lane, and he's in his late twenties, very sexy and answers to the name Tim. He's also Susan's cousin and, per my Desperate mole, he arrives to help Mike fill out his 1040s and gets into a little mischief along the way. The show is also casting a teenaged version of the character. Apparently, Tim witnessed a tragic event when he was 18, and producers want us to see it!

Desperate Housewives has tapped onetime O.C. jock Chris Carmack for a potentially recurring role, sources confirm to me exclusively.

Carmack will play Susan's studly cousin Tim, who shows up on Wisteria Lane to pay his older cuz a visit and gets roped into helping Mike with his taxes. (If the character sounds oddly familiar, here's why.)

Housewives is also casting a teenaged version of Tim, who'll be seen in a '90s flashback. Tim apparently witnessed a tragic event, presumably involving Susan…. and Howie Long…. and a series of Radio Shack ads.

I kid.

Desperate Housewives' exhaustive and months-long search for an actor to play Katherine Mayfair's infamous ex has come to an end. And the winner is... Gary Cole!

Sources confirm that the onetime West Wing veep has landed the pivotal part and will first air on April 20, DH's second episode back. Cole is expected to stick around for a handful of episodes.

The Housewives are back filming


We have known the writers' strike was settled over 3 weeks now, but seeing these images of Marcia Cross and Felicity Huffman taken on Thursday last week on the set of ABC's "Desperate Housewives" is what makes me really excited about the new episodes.

ABC has already confirmed we will be seeing as many as 7 new episodes - 5 regular hours plus one 2-hour finale on May 18.

The show got the biggest order of post-strike episodes (both "Grey's Anatomy" and "Ugly Betty" got 5 and "Brothers & Sisters" only 4) because:

1. Following last year's declines, the show is once again ABC's top scripted drama, beating "Grey's Anatomy"

2. Prior to the strike, only 10 episodes had been filmed

3. Creator Marc Cherry has promised to work long hours to deliver as many episodes as possible.

As for the storylines, rumor has it - Bree and her arch rival Katherine (the lovely Dana Delany) may bury the hatchet (or should I say spatulas?) and go into catering business together.

As for Lynette, early spoilers indicate her last year's almost-flame Rick (Jason Gedrick) may be coming back to Wisteria Lane to open a restaurant competing with Scavo Pizzeria. Is Rick after revenge or Lynette?

It's the Founders Ball; Julie and Dylan are debutantes while Bree receives an award. It seems that Katherine and Bree worked together to put the event together and did such a good job that someone else wants to hire them to organize the fiftieth anniversary of his parents. Bree hesitates but when the man says that they could do a fortune organizing such events, Katherine says they'll think about it. Gabrielle enjoys Carlos' handicapped parking placard. A handicapped man warns her that Carlos must be with her for her to use it. Cops drop by the Scavos about a vandalism incident: someone threw a brick through the window of Rick's new restaurant.

Lynette and Tom are being questioned at the police station about a fire that occured at Rick's restaurant during the Founders Ball. Tom seems to be the prime suspect. Carlos' seeing eye dog will be named Roxy. Gaby doesn't fully understand what a seeing eye dog can or can't do and asks the dog trainer questions such as how to have the dog fetch the remote. She's a bit pissed off that the dog will only be of use to Carlos and won't be able to do anything that will actually help her.

Susan, Gabrielle, Lynette, and Bree visit Katherine’s, where they discover her in the upstairs room, covered with blood and carrying a mysterious ceremonial knife. Katherine’s upset when Susan accuses her of doing something bad, and claims she’s helping Dylan on a history project. The women buy this. The next day, Susan’s getting help on her taxes from her cousin Tim, an accountant, who was recently fired for sleeping with his boss’s 18 yearodl daughter. Katherine stops by with a potted plant for Susan to apologize for getting mad at Susan the day before. Tim knew Katherine as a child, and seems pleased to learn Dylan’s about to turn 18. When Susan overhears Tim trying to hit on Julie, she confronts her cousin and tosses him out. Worried that Dylan might be Tim’s next target, Susan heads over to the Mayfairs, and she’s just in time to see Katherine tossing what appears to be a human foot in the garbage. Katherine covers by claiming that it’s just a replica Adam brought home weeks ago from his office. Katherine laughs off Susan’s fear that Tim will hit on Dylan. Still later, Dylan confronts her mother about what she saw in the note she took from the fireplace. We don’t hear every bit of their conversation, but we do hear snippets like “human entrails” and “That wasn’t very nice of you, Mom!” Even later, Susan sees Tim’s car outside of the Mayfair home. Convinced she’s going to find Tim with Dylan, she heads into the house to find out what’s happening. She happens upon Tim -- and Katherine, who’s holding a bloody, decapitated head. Susan’s startled by the head, so Katherine covers by dropping it and kissing Tim passionately. Susan apologizes for thinking the worst about Katherine and Tim and lets herself out, having forgotten about the decapitated head entirely.

Lynette decides she’s going to go to church. But since she can’t get the kids up in time, and Tom and Orson have both taken their families’ car to work, she and Bree decide to go to church together, by bus. First, they have to wait at the busstop. While they’re waiting, Lynette tries to get her boot off, as she thinks there’s a pebble inside, but finds it to be harder than she expected. After some time, she gets the boot off, and finds there’s nothing inside. Bree checks inside their hat and finds nothing. They’re tired of waiting, but have no choice but to wait for the bus. Lynette falls asleep. When she wakes up, she tries to tell Bree about her dream, but Bree doesn’t care about it. Bree has to go urinate, and when she goes back, they wonder what they should do while waiting for the bus. Lynette is hungry and that’s when Bree pulls out a carrot and begins to eat it. At the end of the day, Lynette and Bree have still been waiting for the bus; a messenger stops by and tells them it’s not coming today, but surely tomorrow. Lynette and Bree vow to go by taxi next Sunday.

Gabrielle and Carlos are excited about their upcoming wedding, even though he hasn’t told Gabrielle he’s permanently blind. While Gabrielle asks Father Crowley to perform the ceremony, Edie suspects something’s up and grills a nurse at the hospital, who admits under duress that Carlos’ blindness is permanent. Gabrielle and Carlos begin their private wedding ceremony in his hospital room when Edie interrupts the ceremony and reveals the truth about Carlos’ blindness. Gabrielle is so mad she trips Carlos and storms out of the wedding! Later, though, after a heart to heart with Lynette and Bree at the bus stop, Gabrielle realizes she wants Carlos back. Hearing this, Edie heads off to get some more dirt on Carlos and Gabrielle. This time, Carlos and Gabrielle plan a ceremony at the church. Edie again interrupts the ceremony, this time to reveal how Gabrielle once bribed a little girl to keep her from telling anyone about her affair with John. Because of his wish to have kids of his own, Carlos is furious with Gabrielle and calls off the wedding. But he has his own talk with Lynette and Bree at the bus stop and realizes he’s made a mistake. This time, they decide to hold the ceremony at the bus stop with Lynette and Bree as the guests. A frustrated Edie shows up with evidence of a laundry list of misdeeds committed by Gabrielle: she used Carlos’ mother’s gambling addiction against her; faked a paternity test to convince Carlos she was carrying his baby; made Carlos sick so he wouldn’t leave the country with Sister Mary; and about a dozen other things. Carlos gets over this all and says that now that he knows everything Gabrielle has ever done, they can start anew. Carlos and Gabrielle are married. A devestated Edie is led off by Katherine, who wants to show Edie something in her upstairs room. As the episode ends, Katherine leads Edie into the room and we see Katherine’s holding a bloody knife .

When ABC's Desperate Housewives resumes its season on April 13, several months will have passed for the residents of Wisteria Lane. "Several months," though, is a drop in the bucket compared to the temporal shift Housewives viewers might be subject to next.

A hip artist named Ellie (Justine Bateman) moves in with Carlos and Gabrielle. Gabrielle is surprised to find Ellie has a man in her bedroom. It turns out Ellie's dealing cocaine!

Lynette brings Kayla to a psychiatrist after the young girl tries to get her brothers to jump off the roof, but Lynette and Kayla settle the problem while they're in the waiting room.

Susan visits Lamaze class with Julie, where she's surprised to see Karl with his very pregnant wife. Susan regrets coming in her old clothes. At the next class, Susan brings Mike and they both dress up. Karl masks a smile upon learning Mike has been free of drugs for over a month.

The season ends with the wrap-up of Katherine Mayfair's mystery. But I'm also hearing we meet a new character by the name of Ken in the finale. He'll initially come off as the perfect, straight-laced husband type. However, sources say he’ll have something to do with next year's big mystery.

Episode 4.16 - The Gun Song; Free
Adam and Katherine are having breakfast together when someone from children's services stops by to confront Katherine for having hit Dylan. Katherine denies the charges, but the woman from children's services has evidence. Later, Katherine's arrested for abusing Dylan. Dylan's going to live with her mother's parents. Adam gives Dylan a goodbye hug, while Katherine's noticably absent.

Susan's upset that their son has been named Maynard. When she can't get a woman at the hospital records department to help her, she turns to get help from a woman named Griselda. Susan manages to get the baby's name changed through deception.

Gabrielle's with an electronics technician who's bugging the house to catch drug dealer Ellie. She's more sympathetic about Ellie than he is, as she's sort of befriended Ellie. But when Ellie's about to catch what's happening, Gabrielle hides the truth by kissing the man.

Orson arrives at the Scavos' restaurant to find Bree dining with a Reverend. (No, it's not her usual one!) Both Bree and the Reverend are recently separated, and Bree makes Orson jealous. Later, at church, the Reverend leads a prayer that is quite obviously about Bree's apparently wicked ways. Orson and the Reverend get into a huge fight!

Episode 4-17 "Free" May 18 Second hour of the TWO HOUR season finale

All of Katherine's secrets are revealed! In one pivotal flashback, a police officer encourages Katherine to flee with young Dylan, as cop Wayne will never be punished for abusing her. Back in the present, Wayne attacks Adam, who escapes and commits a carjacking.

After receiving a call from a school principal, a man joins his wife in the playground, where she's staring into the kindergarten classroom. She's not ready to let her son go to school, and reminds her husband he's never had kids before, like she has. He's pretty nice to his wife despite her extreme behavior. (By the way, they're casting for the husband, but I know of no plans to cast the wife. Best bet is that the wife is (gulp!) Susan.) If anyone's heard who's been cast as the husband, feel free to email me, as this seems like big news.

Look for the season to end with a cliffhanger that will change the entire series, as time on Wisteria Lane flashes forward five years or so.

Gale Harold Joins Desperate Housewives

Former Queer as Folk hottie Gale Harold will guest star on Desperate Housewives this season, reports TV Guide.

The 38-year-old Vanished actor will play a “quick-witted, charming and buttoned-down suburbanite.” (Spoilers ahead!) It’s rumored that he will be part of the “time jump” this season and may turn out to be the new husband of one of the current housewives. Also in the finale–a couple of the current cast members say their final goodbyes to Wisteria Lane.

Gale is set to first appear on the show in the second part of May 18 two-hour season finale and could return next season.

Marcia Cross drops a few hints about Bree's future
WASHINGTON - It's true: "Desperate Housewives" will flash-forward five years.

Marcia Cross, who plays domestic goddess Bree on the ABC comedy-drama, told AP Radio in a recent phone interview that a flash-forward narrative device will offer viewers a glimpse into the future lives of the Wisteria Lane gang.

Spoiler alert: Read no further if you don't want to know what happens to some of the central characters.

Cross said her character makes "a big leap."

"She's gone out into the world and she's become a bit of a success," the 46-year-old actress said.

When asked if that success has anything to do with the catering business Bree started with her neighbor Katherine (Dana Delany), Cross replied, "It does have to do with the business. Bree definitely has made a name for herself."

And Bree — the embodiment of preppy style — will change her look.

"Let's put it this way, the (hair) flip has died and I'm so happy about that," Cross said.

She also revealed that Eva Longoria Parker's character, Gabrielle, "has had some children."

When asked what becomes of the troublesome Kayla (Rachel Fox), who is Tom's (Doug Savant) daughter, Cross said, "She hightails it out of town or is hightailed out of town."

The season finale of "Desperate Housewives" airs Sunday.
