Troy e Gabriella avranno ancora più compagnia nel prossimo High School Musical 3, con la Disney che nei giorni scorsi ha annunciato l’arrivo di tre nuovi membri nel cast del film: si tratta di Matt Prokop (già visto all’opera con un ruolo minore in Hannah Montana, interpreterà Jimmie “The Rocket” Soto), di Jemma McKenzie Brown (l’attrice ha battuto 600 ragazze per la parte di Tiara) e di Justin Martin (ancora non è chiaro quale sarà la sua parte).

Riguardo ai casting, il regista Kenny Ortega ha spiegato: “Peter Barsocchini ha scritto una sceneggiatura fantastica per ‘High School Musical 3’ che richiedeva l’aggiunta di altri 3 personaggi del secondo anno, quindi abbiamo casting intensi nel Nord America e in Inghilterra per trovare i giovani giusti: Jemma è stata una delle più giovani attrici che abbiamo incontrata a Londra, siamo rimasti impressionati dalle sue capacità canore e di ballo, inoltre è molto effervescente. Matt ha una grande personalità e un grosso senso dell’umorsismo e del divertimento. E Justin ha una grande presenza scenefica e del carisma, ed è inoltre un magnifico attore di commedie che sa ballare. Sono sicuro che questi tre nuovi attori porteranno un sacco di divertimento e sorprese per l’ultimo anno all’East High”. Nel frattempo Chucky Kaplow, che si occupa delle coreografie del film, ha parlato dello stress di dover mettere insieme un grosso numero di balletti in poco tempo: “Avevamo solo 10 giorni per imparare i movimenti di tutti i balletti per il primo film, e già lì non sapevo come ce l’avremmo fatto. Fortunamente per la seconda pellicola avevamo 3 settimane, e per la terza siamo nel pieno di 5 settimane di ‘full immersion ballerina’”. Kaplow ha comunque solo parole di lode per gli attori di HSM, e se nel secondo film le danze sono state un po’ più ‘complicate’ “ora torneremo ai movimenti di base che hanno reso il primo film un grande film”. Quanto alla protagonista “Vanessa è naturalmente dotata per le nuove mosse, anche se ci sono alcuni inconvenienti nel lavorare con una persona che impara tutto subito, perché siccome le cose le vengono naturalmente, si stanca presto perché deve aspettare gli altri”. Secondo Kaplow, infine, anche Corbin Bleu è molto dotato per la danza: “Ha un passato nello spettacolo, impara le cose in fretta”, ha concluso il coreografo.

Of course, this was in preparation for their upcoming feature film, High School Musical 3: Senior Year, which also costars Lucas Grabeel (below).

Rich Todd, presidente di "Disney Channel", ha annunciato la notizia, senza però svelare il mistero sui volti dei protagonisti. Il dubbio che la coppia d'oro Zac Efron - Vanessa Hudgens questa volta molli il colpo è forte. Il quarto episodio, infatti, sarà destinato solo alla tv. E le due star potrebbero dare forfait.

Todd si è detto certo che non tutti gli attori dei precedenti episodi torneranno nel quarto film, ma spera di poter contare sulla presenza di alcuni di loro.

Ancora non è chiaro se i due protagonisti accetteranno di restare. Una delle convinzioni diffuse è che alcuni dei nuovi personaggi della terza pellicola acquisiranno un'importanza maggiore nel quarto episodio, in un'ottica di rinnovamento graduale del noto franchise Disney.

Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Monique Coleman, Corbin Bleu and director/choreographer Kenny Ortega all talked with ABC’s Good Morning America on Tuesday.

Zac shared about coming into rehearsals a few weeks late because he was busy shooting (http://justjared.buzznet.com/2008/02/28/zac-efron-slick-rick/) another movie, Me and Orson Welles. Apparently he couldn’t keep up with girlfriend Vanessa: “It was tough catching up with everybody. Vanessa’s tough to keep up with, man. She’s really coordinated. It’s tough.”

But the entire cast seemed to have a hard time!

“I’m still hurting. We’re all kind of limping around,” Hudgens said.

“I think I grew a full shoe size. My feet are so swollen. It’s pretty bad, but it’s worth it,” added Coleman.

“Well, actually, the shoes are comfortable,” Tisdale said. “We had ballroom shoes on and everyone was wearing heels and everybody was like, ‘Argh, my feet hurt,’ and I’m like, ‘Mine are great!’”

“Sneakernight” — The thumping first single “is a fun song about hanging out with your girlfriends and wearing sneakers,” says Hudgens, who’s no stranger to stiletto-induced red-carpet cramps. “When I show the video, I was like, ‘I cannot believe I’m wearing sneakers for the first time in a music video!’ It was awesome.”
“First Bad Habit” — Hudgens enlisted producer Dr. Luke (Kelly Clarkson, Pink) to pump synths into this sassy anthem “about when you like a hug so much but know he’s a complete a–hole.” Is said rapscallion like any particular man in her life? “It hasn’t happened to me, but a lot of my friends have gone through so much crap.”
“Gone with the Wind” — “And now I’m standing my ground/And who I am/For that I’m proud,” she declares in this stripped-down ballad. “I just kind of went for it…. The song basically means: I know a lot more, and that timidness and naïveté is gone with the wind.”

So lately everywhere Vanessa is seen in public, she's wearing loose dresses and flowing tops. Supposedly Disney producers are not happy for her. They planned on filming scenes of High School Musical 3 very soon but cant find cute clothes for Gabriel to wear because Vanessa is started to show! They might have to postpone the filming of High School Musical until after Vanessa hasher baby and gets back down top her size before becoming prego!

Earlier this month, High School sweethearts Zac Efron (http://justjared.buzznet.com/tags/zac-efron/) and Vanessa Hudgens (http://justjared.buzznet.com/tags/vanessa-hudgens/) jetted off for a romantic July 4th weekend (http://justjared.buzznet.com/2008/07/04/zac-efron-vanessa-hudgens-vacation/) together.
The couple wound up flying to Turks and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean and stayed at the exclusive Amanyara resort, which goes for up to $8,000/night. Zac, 20, and Vanessa, 19, weren’t shy about their affection with one another, cuddling up and making out in between scuba diving and kayaking.
