I don’t normally watch One Tree Hill, but since I am a TV reporter, I thought I should check out the season premiere with its nifty new plot twist. Like most long running shows that begin with characters in high school, the cast of One Tree Hill were starting to look a little mature for the prom. To solve this problem, the show added a four year jump in the timeline, skipping over college, thereby allowing the actors to play close to their own real ages. Who would have thunk?

This new timeline then opened up a whole range of possibilities as the Tree Hill gang each try to find their places in life, work and love. Peyton is trying to make a difference in the music biz in LA. Brooke is a clothing mogul with her own company. Haley faces her first day as a high school teacher while husband Nathan bemoans an accident that cost him his basketball career. Lucas is a best selling author who is having trouble completing his second novel (Oh, I feel for you, boy. I really do.) And Jackson Brundage? He’s Haley and Nathan’s four-year-old son, Jamie, and he STOLE every scene he was in (and he was in a lot!)
Hand this kid an Emmy now, he’s going to be a force to be reckoned with!

Despite my intention of only watching a little of the show, I was pulled into the full two hours and at the end I was setting the DVR on series record. The new themes of the show reminded me of when I was in Jr. High, imagining how my friends and I would have exciting lives with cool jobs and weekend barbeques at the beach. It was a nice dream that never happened and maybe that’s why I like seeing it on One Tree Hill.

Or maybe I’m just hooked on Jackson Brundage. His soap box derby storyline was an emotional killer! Hey, I don’t know too many grown-up actors who can nail a scene as well as this kid.

Vi prego aggiungetemi assolutamente, io adoro questo bambino, guardate la mia firma spoiler e ve ne accorgerete!! E' assolutamente dolcissimo, lo adoro in tutte le sue più piccole manifestazioni... Lo adoro quando è impegnato a colorare, quando corre nelle braccia dello zio Luke, quando ha indossato la maglietta regalatagli da Skills e guardandosi ha detto: "It's perfect", quando si fa coccolare dalla mamma e quando cn quello sguardo tenerissimo e il suo fare da bimbo innocente ha toccato il lato più profondo di Nathan!! Insomma nn so se si capisce ke lo adoro!! E' il bimbo più bello in assoluto... del resto nn poteva essere diversamente il figlio dei miei Naley!!

During the shooting of this scene, Jackson was about to burst into tears. He understood that I was acting, but this time, I really saw sadness in his eyes. What is your favorite pastime?
I really like to play sport and riding my bike.

Which episode of One Tree Hill has been your favorite to film?
They are all fun. I like where I get to play rockband, that's one of my favorite games to play.

Do you prefer film or TV?
I like both. They are both fun.

What was your first acting experience?
A commercial and I did a theatre play too.

Who do you like working with best onset?
Everyone is really nice. James told me some tips to for basketball. Sophia is really nice to me and she's fun too.

Have you received any fanmail since you started on One Tree Hill?
I had some from my agent in California. Some people ask me to sign stuff for them when I go out.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
I want to act or play some kind of sport but my mom says I have to finish school.

How was your time at the cast party? Did you have a good time?
It was fun, everyone had a good time. I got to meet some really cool people and done new things like take lots of photos and I got to do an interview. That was really fun.

If Jamie could have a super-power, what would you him to have?
Web attack like Spiderman has or flying cos that would be fun.

How old are you?
6.

Do you play basketball like Jamie?
Yeah. I like to play with my dad and sister.

Who do you look up to on set?
Antwon is really funny and nice. I like to tell him new jokes. I liked working with Torrey, she was nice.

Do we ever get to see Chester or is he a stuffed animal?
Chester is real. I get to play with him sometimes for some new scenes.

Do people recognise you as Jamie from One Tree Hill?
Yeah and I got stopped at Disneyland and this girl asked me if I was Jamie and if she could take a picture. My mom was laughing cause it was Disneyland.

Have you made friends in North Carolina?
I play with another boy who lives under the aprtment of us. Back home I like to play with my friends and ride in the park.

Are you going to the One Tree Hill Charity Basketball game?
I don't know but that would be fun.

Do you get to play basketball?
That would be fun. (Jackson's mom wasn't sure at the time of this interview and Jackson was a little unsure what happens there until I explained. He thinks it was a great idea and said he hopes he can go)

What's your favorite color?
I like blue. Oh and greeen and red.
