In giro si legge che ci sarà...certo che per come finisce l'ultima puntata della seconda stagione si potrebbe quasi dire che si è kiuso definitivamente...ma ci deeeeeve essere..Se qualcuno trova qualcosa la posti, anche in inglese che poi si provvede alla traduzione.

Julie Benz Talks Dexter Season Three
In Showtime's hit serial killer series "Dexter," viewers watched Julie Benz's timid Rita - Dex's main squeeze - come out of her shell. She remained steadfast in helping Dexter with his, ahem, "addiction." And booted his ass out when she found out he had something going on the side with Lila (firestarter Jaime Murray) - then she took him back. For the upcoming third season, "I'd like to see her move," Benz laughs during a chat with Shock. "I'd like to move into Dexter's apartment. Seriously, his apartment is pretty swank and Rita's stuck in that run-down house. Maybe she could get a promotion at work, I'd like to see her go to work a little bit more."
The actress is currently out promoting her latest feature turn in Rambo (opening January 25th). She's using the current hiatus from "Dexter" to star in another actioner Punisher: War Zone.
Guess she grooves on guys who spill a lot of blood. Look at her history: Married to the Crypt Keeper John Kassir; career start - a miniscule part in Dario Argento's "The Black Cat" episode of Two Evil Eyes; and she's got a place in the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel" universe as the vamp named Darla. "I am pretty lucky," she says. "I'm like, 'Wow,' I've gotten to play two really great characters on television, which doesn't always happen. You might get one in a lifetime of a career. I've gotten two and I just feel really blessed. I fought to be in 'Dexter,' I wanted to work for Showtime, I wanted to be in that show. I jumped through hoops to be on that show and I'm so happy to be a part of it."
Benz isn't clear on how the third season of "Dexter" will work around the sensitive WGA strike. "We wrapped production in October and aren't scheduled to start filming again until May. It will start affecting us pretty soon because writers always go back way before we do to get scripts together." Unless, of course, they began hashing out the storyline in the midst of season two. "I doubt it, they were just finishing up our season finale [at the time]."
Speaking in depth about her role, we inquire if she thinks Rita will ever learn of her boyfriend's true secrets. "I don't think she could handle knowing," she ponders. "Rita is first and foremost a mother. I think at this point in her life, after years exposing her children to violence, doing it because she was unable to find the courage in herself to fight back and the fact that it was her daughter that made that final phone call, I think she's finding the strength now to say 'Never again.' My feeling is that if she ever found out it would destroy her. I also don't think she would ever believe him anyway. She sees the best in him. She's still going to see the good in him, I think we all are when we're in love, when we find a partner, we are so willing to see the best in people, we overlook things. That's why you can say, 'Oh my God, I didn't know my neighbor was a serial killer,' you know what I mean? I think it's human nature to try and [see the best]."
CBS will begin airing a toned-down version of "Dexter" season one on Sunday nights at 10pm beginning February 17th.

Nella prima parte parla di cosa sta facendo al momento(nn che ci interessi)
La Benz non è sicura su come sarà la terza stagione di Dexter dato lo sciopero degli sceneggiatori.
Abbiamo terminato le riprese ad Ottobre e queste non sono in programma di riniziare almeno fino a Maggio. Inizierà a coinvolgerci presto perchè gli scrittori continuano sempre a cambiare, tornare indietro con le sceneggiatura ancora prima che iniziamo a recitare.
A meno che naturalmente scrivano la linea principale col finire della seconda stagione ma ne dubito perkè sono ancora concentrati sul finale(l'intervista è di quell'epoca).
Parlando in profondità del suo ruolo pensa che Rita non verrà mai a conoscenza dei segreti del suo ragazzo. "Non penso che potrebbe gestire la notizia, Rita è prima di tutto una madre. Penso che a quel punto della sua vita, dopo aver esposto per anni i suoi figli alla violenza per colpa della sua mancanza nel trovare il coraggio di combattere e visto il fatto che è stata la figlia a fare la telefonata che ha kiuso tutta la faccenda, possa trovare la forza di rispondere "Mai più"...A mio parere se mai lo scoprisse ne uscirebbe distrutta. Credo anche che non gli crederebbe mai in ogni caso. Lei vede il meglio in lui, credo che sia come quando si è innamorati, come quando si trova un partner e si è vogliosi di vedere solo il meglio nelle persone, tralasciando tutto il resto. E' per questo che si può dire "Oh mio Dio, Non sapevo che il mio vicino era un serial killer,capisci cosa intendo?Credo che sia nella natura umana provare a vedere il meglio in tutti gli altri.

And now for the dirty sexy dish from Clyde Phillips about season three. We talked to him before the writers' room even opened for the new season, so everything is subject to change, but here's what Dex's boss is thinking about for the series' next installment.
Who's Your Daddy? Clyde says that in season three, Dexter gets personal and, uh, professional traction in a way we've not yet seen: "Basically, what's happened with Dexter is that the first year was his childhood, and the second year was his adolescence, and the third year is going to be his adulthood. He will become more of his own man. He will still live by what we call the Code of Harry, if you know what that is, although his relationship with his father was already to some extent deconstructed in the second year." Ah, he's metaphorically killed the father..."But then, once you kill the father, then you learn to appreciate him." If this involves more James Remar (Harry Morgan) and MCH in a silly wig, whatever this means it's A-okay by me.
Clean Slate: Clyde says they're still noodling around with the exact arc of season three: "The first year we had the books, and the second year we knew that the bodies were going to turn up and that the FBI was going to come and that Doakes was going to be suspicious. The third year we're starting tabula rasa." This, in case you couldn't guess from the show in question being Dexter, means anything is possible...

Darkly Dreaming Dexter: Dexter Morgan continues to embrace the Clark Kent/Bruce Wayne side of his life in season three. In particular, one of TV's best good and evil entanglements, Dexter and Rita, will be going strong. Clyde tells me, "The relationship will be there...One of the things that keeps him grounded is his burgeoning affection for Rita and his outright affection for her children. If Dexter didn't have Rita, if he didn't have the Code, if he didn't have his sister, there's a very good chance he'd go off the rails. He does have them all, and that's what levels him, that's what keeps him grounded."
Darling Deadly Doakes: Now that Sgt. James Doakes (played by Erik King) has been, well, dispatched from the series, is that the end of his presence in Miami? Clyde says, "First of all, it was a very difficult decision personally to do what we did to Doakes, because we love the guy—we love Erik King. Nobody could have handled it more professionally than he did. He was splendid when we had to break the news to him. It's what you do on a show...We're all professional, and he understood. Basically, next season, Doakes' end resonates emotionally with Laguerta (Lauren Vélez), although I don't know where that goes yet." May I propose an appearance by Ghost Doakes?

Nella seconda stagione abbiamo visto Dexter, serial killer e analista delle macchie di sangue per il dipartimento di polizia di Miami, impossibilitato ad uccidere causa a) la sorveglianza del sergente Doakes b) la scoperta di essere la causa della morte di suo padre. Con la morte di Doakes, pare che Dexter abbia risolto la maggior parte dei suoi problemi, ma questo non significa che la caccia al ‘Macellaio di Bay Harbor’ sia conclusa: le sei new entry (per cui ancora non ci sono nomi certi) saranno quasi tutti poliziotti e - secondo indiscrezioni - questi sono i sei nuovi personaggi: Joey Quinn, una poliziotta ‘piacevole’ e appena arrivata al dipartimento, Miguel Vega, suo fratello Ruben e Isabel, moglie di Miguel. La terza stagione vedrà infine un giovane agente degli Affari Interni, di nome Yuki Amado, ed un sexy, giovane musicista afroamericano, tale Anton, che sarà “molto visibile” nel corso di tutta la stagione.

Le riprese della terza stagione ci saranno il 9 giugno, e la season premiere è prevista per il 28 settembre! Intanto la seconda stagione è disponibile su iTunes ed inoltre il dvd della seconda stagione uscirà in America il 19 agosto.

Jimmy Smits è il primo nuovo nome ufficiale della lista degli attori che vedremo nella prossima stagione. Lui interpreterà Miguel Prado un ambizioso,carismatico assistente del procuratore distrettuale che viene da una delle famiglie politicamente più potenti e amate di Miami. Dexter: Season 3 Will "Change His Life Forever"
Wondering what's up with your favorite blood-spatter analyst? Wonder no more. At the Saturn Awards, executive producer Clyde Phillips filled us in when we asked about Season 3 and just how long Dexter Morgan can stay under the radar.
Previewing what's to come, he said, "Dexter inadvertently sets in motion a chain of events that will change his life not only for this year, but change his life forever" — and that doesn't mean a manhunt. "We're done with that," says Phillips. "But that doesn't mean he's not in great jeopardy. For Season 3, we had to basically start it all over. We really had to cut [the storyline] from whole cloth."
As Jimmy Smits joins the cast, it may be surprising to hear that it's not as an adversary to Dexter. "He plays an assistant district attorney who is a rising star in the city of Miami," shares Phillips. "His brother dies in the first episode and he and Dexter form an alliance. That's basically all I can tell you, other than the fact that Jimmy Smits is going to go, I believe, places he's never explored before as an actor."
And Rita, says Phillips, will be "pivotal to what goes on in the year and is part of what changes Dexter's life." But will Dexter find his soul? No, says the producer. "Once he's completed as a person, the show's over." We wouldn't want that. — Carita Rizzo

Kristin Dattilo ha ottenuto un ruolo ricorrente in “Dexter“, dove interpreterà, per almeno cinque episodi, la Detective Barbara Gianna, una poliziotta veramente dura.
Dexter Morgan, You've Got a Friend: “Dexter has turned his back on his father but is still using the code,” Michael C. Hall says of his darky, dreaming alter ego in the upcoming season. “And yet, there still remains an unconscious desire for connection. And certain circumstances lead him into a relationship with Jimmy Smits’ character which satisfy that urge in him.” Executive producer Clyde Phillips teases that Smits plays a an assistant DA with “great political ambition” and he becomes Dexter’s “first adult friend.”
Spoilers: When asked if Dex might break the code and kill someone innocent, Phillips dished, “Yes, he will. And without giving too much away, I will say we can consider it dropping a pebble on a mountainside filled with snow, and it will cause an avalanche.”
As for Dex's sister Deb, says Phillips: “She will finally enter into a healthy loving relationship, but I can’t tell you with whom, but hopefully it will be a surprise.” Hmmm…Someone we already know?
Emmy Noms—Finally! Producer Clyde Phillips credits Dexter’s run on CBS for its first Emmy Award nods this year (for the series and Michael C. Hall). “People started searching for other shows during the strike, and Dexter fit right into the CBS crime-night structure.”

Episode 3.02 - Finding Freebo - Press Release

All’inizio della terza stagione, Dexter si creerà dunque un suo codice, solo che le cose non andranno proprio come previsto: invece di uccidere uno spacciatore, il nostro protagonista ucciderà un innocente (il fratello di Jimmy Smits/Miguel Prado, qualcosa che va contro l’ancora vigente codice di Harry: e se pensate che uccidere qualcuno non è un problema per Dexter, in questo caso lo è, non solo per la violazione in sé e per sé, ma anche perché al nostro piace Miguel Prado.
A parte questo, c’è da segnalare la rivelazione di Rita (Julie Benz), che alla fine della premiere confessa a Dexter di essere incinta: e se già un serial killer - supponiamo - potrebbe non essere il migliore dei padri, la rivelazione, unita alle domande di Dexter sul rapporto con suo padre, porteranno il protagonista ad avere un po’ di confusione “interiore”.
Secondo la Benz, che non aveva idea che il suo personaggio sarebbe rimasto incinta, “Dexter sarebbe un ottimo padre, a parte per il fatto che uccide le persone, di sicuro un hobby da non passare ai bambini. La terza stagione della serie sarà incentrata sull’hobby di Dexter e sulla sua vita personale, e penso che il mio essere incinta lo porterà a guardarsi più dentro sé stesso”.
Clyde Phillips, invece, pensa che la gravidanza di Rita “cambierà Dexter, ma non in maniera negativa, mentre Deb, che nel frattempo avrà un nuovo e supersexy interesse amoroso, dovrà fare i conti sui suoi sentimenti per questa cosa”.
Potrebbero esserci dei problemi, invece, seondo la produttrice esecutiva Melissa Rosenberg, che a Kristin di E! Online ha spiegato come “tra la gravidanza e l’uccisione del fratello di Prado, potremmo avere un Dexter più spontaneo, e questo potrebbe essere pericoloso per lui e la sua libertà: nel corso della stagione, Dexter scoprirà un altro aspetto della sua umanità limitata, che porterà alcune conseguenze deliziosamente dark”.

The Season 3 premiere of Dexter on Sunday night delivered 1.22 million total viewers, besting both the series' previous opener and its most recent season finale by some 20 percent. It also represents Showtime's highest-rated drama premiere since at least 2004.
Californication, meanwhile, stayed firm. Total viewership for the Season 2 premiere night (785K) was on par with the series' debut.

La Showtime ha confermato giusto ieri che il serial killer dei serial killer tornerà per almeno altre due stagioni, sempre da 12 episodi l’una: la serie, che di recente è stata anche nominata agli Emmy, ha avuto la premiere più vista della scorsa stagione.

Partiamo appunto dal rinnovo, con Phillips che si è detto “elettrizzato. Di solito, ha detto il produttore esecutivo, i rinnovi arrivano verso la fine della stagione, invece finora la rete ha mandato in onda solo 4 episodi di Dexter. Questo, unito al fatto che la serie è stata rinnovata per due stagioni, ci è di stimolo, significa che tutti hanno grande fede in quello che facciamo”.
Secondo quanto dichiarato da Phillips, inoltre, lui e i suo partner, John Goldwyn e Sarah Colleton, sono “entusiasti” per la grande performance di Jimmy Smits: “Quando lui e Michael (C.Hall, ndr) condividono una scena, ci sediamo tutti e guardiamo, perché sono due fantastici attori: prima o poi questi due vinceranno un Emmy, ma non saprei dirvi se Smits tornerà oltre la terza stagione: per ora c’è l’accordo solo per questa stagione, ed avendo ricevuto solo l’altro ieri la notizia del rinnovo, dobbiamo ancora programmare cosa fare per le prossime due”.

Dexter grapples with what to do with his newfound friend, Miguel, who thinks he is clued in to Dexter’s vigilante ways. So Dexter decides to test him to see how far he wants to go. Dexter reveals that he’s always wanted to bring a violent white supremacist who is already in jail, to his brand of ‘justice.’ Thinking this will force Miguel to back away, Dexter is surprised to find that Miguel is not only on board, but he has a daring strategy to complete Dexter’s dark plan. Simultaneously, Rita gets fired from her job, leaving her wondering if she will ever have a real career. Debra is upset when she realizes she may be partially responsible for another mysteriously skinned homicide case she’s trying to solve.
