Si è svolta ieri sera la cerimonia di premiazione della 39esima edizione dei NAACP Image Awards, i premi assegnati dall'American National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) alla gente di colore che si è contraddinstinta nell'ultimo anno nel mondo dell'arte.
Nella categoria televisione hanno dominato le serie "Life Support" di HBO e "Ugly Betty" e "Grey's Anatomy", trasmesse entrambe negli States da ABC. Neanche a dirlo, nella categoria comedy America Ferrera è stata premiata come migliore attrice mentre la sua co-star Vanessa Williams è stata giudicata la migliore attrice di supporto. Grande successo anche per "Greys' Anatomy" che oltre ad essere stata nominata miglior drama, ha visto trionfare Chandra Wilson come migliore attrice di supporto.
Complimentissimi poi anche a Hill Harper di "CSI: NY" eletto miglior attore drama, Regina Taylor di "The Unit", giudicata miglior attrice drama e Omar Epps di "House" nominato miglior attore di supporto.
